San Diego Rug Cleaning
Custom Area Rugs: Oriental, Persian, Wool, Silk, Fur, Antique, Sisal, Bearskin, Sheepskin, and All Others
Our cleaning method begins with a warm mild cleaning solution, PH
balanced for your rug, which will prevent shrinkage or permanent
damage to your rug's natural fibers and elements.
Experience has taught us that less moisture used during the cleaning process renders better results. Salts and minerals present in water and left behind after water soaking will weaken the fibers of rugs, dull their appearance and accelerate the re-soiling process.
Our process doesn't rely on water pressure to remove soiling in rugs.
Instead of using water pressure, we perform a safe and effective agitation method by using a specially designed forward-propelling bristle brush to gently release soil and debris while applying a cleansing foam. The low moisture foam coats the rug fibers in order to collect the loosened soil particles. The contaminated foam is then extracted leaving your rug thoroughly clean and looking vibrant.
We also dry clean or hand clean rugs as necessary. Moth treatment and wrapping for storage services are also available.
Dry Foam Soil Extraction:
The results of a Health+Clean cleaning far surpass the results you can expect from any other cleaning. A small amount of water and cleaning solution is inserted into our cleaning machine, which generates, dry foam and applies it to the rug. A continuously forward-propelling dense-bristle brush follows the foam and pushes it to the base of the rug so that it covers the length of the fibers and then lifts the foam, now containing all the soil, sugar and oil left behind by common spills and use, back out where it is removed by the suction of the machine. When the sugars and oils are not completely removed, like in other cleaning methods, they will continue to attract soil allowing existing stains to return quickly. The foam is gentle on the rug but powerfully collects sugar, oil and soil in the fibers. This low moisture method eliminates the need for your rug to be soaked, which causes the need for an extended drying period and leaves large amounts of residue. The foam works on all levels of the rug removing the soil from the bottom up instead of forcing the topsoil down, which is stirred back to the top after a few weeks of normal wear.

Rug Cleaning Extended Information
We get very, very impressive results when we clean area, oriental,
custom and fine rugs including sisal, animal skins and other
difficult-to-clean rugs.
We have cleaned 1,000s of rugs in San Diego for over three decades.
In fact, rug cleaning is one of our oldest specialty services.
We've cleaned every type of floor covering you can imagine with
excellent results and we'd love to impress you by doing the same
to your prized rugs.
Our excellent rug cleaning features three result-producing elements:
1. We use a very warm, mild cleaning solution.
This is important because if harsh, high PH-containing (or overly
hot) cleaning solutions are used on rugs permanent damage can
result. These poor quality rug cleaning practices can remove natural wool
oils and even shrink rugs.
2. We use a low-moisture cleaning method
Experience has taught us that the less moisture we use to clean
rugs the better results we get. Water contains impurities such as
salts and minerals. The water will eventually evaporate, but the
impurities it contains will not. They will flatten the rugs
surface, weaken its fibers from the base, accelerate re-soiling
and most unwelcome, will dull its once bright colors. Simply put,
more moisture=more damage. Low-moisture rug cleaning is the best
way to go.
3. We use a very effective agitation process
Since we do not rely on water to remove soil from rugs,
we use a very effective (and safe) agitation process to loosen and
displace soil.
By applying a soft, specially-designed revolving 150,000 count
bristle brush, we stimulate rug fibers to release debris from rug surfaces and even below them. We deeply clean rugs which means
they stay clean longer. At the same time we agitate the rug fibers,
we inject our outstanding cleansing foam. This foam
coats rugs even while it collects their previously sticky, persistent soil particles. We then
immediately extract the now-filthy foam, leaving rugs truly clean.
Such a thorough yet gentle cleaning is rug-safe and produces wonderful results
You just have to see them to believe how wonderful! Bright color
returns to rugs. Fibers spring up from their matted, flattened
position; looking full and rich once again. We are confident you
will love the results of our excellent rug cleaning service.
You can be confident too -even before you hire us. How so? We'll
let you see the results of our cleaning before you pay us a single
dollar. When our technician comes out to your home simply ask for
our free rug cleaning demonstration.
Tony has even been known to compare the difference between pre and
post Tony's Best Way cleaned rug to the difference between a bud
and a fully opened flower. The results are very, very impressive.
Be aware, however, that if a rug comes to us with irreversible
damage we can still work wonders but the effect will understandably
not be the same. However, you will still get the best results that
are possible.
It's very important to entrust your rug investment to highly
trained and experienced professionals. Our cleaning technicians are
specially trained to clean rugs.
Beware of badly trained workers treating your rug poorly! We've
seen sad cases where rugs were permanently damaged by poor
treatment. For example, be aware of the strength and PH balance of
the cleaning products used on your rugs. Applying inappropriate
products can seriously damage rugs.
Or, just contact us today and be assured your rugs will be in
careful and experienced hands!
After your Tony's Best Way cleaning, consider having us
professionally apply Scotchgard™ Rug Protectant to keep your rug bright, fresh and

How to care for your area rugs
1. Rotate to insure even wear. Be sure to rotate your rugs once every 6-12 months.
2. Vacuuming is a must. Area rugs should be vacuumed regularly at least once a week.
3. Use anti-slip grips. Place a specially designed underlay beneath each area rug to help them stay in place. This will cause your rugs to wear better.
4. Clean spots well. When your rug gets a spot, blot up excess liquid with a paper towel immediately. Take care to not set the stain. Use your Tony's Best Way spot remover to clean a small portion of the stain according to the instructions on the bottle. Use a hairdryer to dry the cleaned area. If you succeed at removing the spot in that area, proceed to clean the rest. If your effort is not successful, call us for advice.
