At Tonys Best Way we value the investments youve made to beautify your home and protect your privacy. We offer a delicate yet thorough cleaning for any type of window treatment, fabric panel or lampshade that will avoid damage and preserve their quality and visual appeal. Our specialized methods allow us to clean your window treatments while they hang, provide the best result in soil extraction for both natural and synthetic materials.
Our Method:
Our technician will begin cleaning by carefully vacuuming the coverings with a HEPA filter system designed to remove allergens and dust. After the vacuuming process is complete the technician will use one of two professional methods for soil extraction. We use our custom dry-cleaning method on all natural fabrics in order to protect and preserve the natural fibers. Our wet-cleaning method is very effective and used on all synthetic fabrics leaving them soil free and vibrant in appearance. Offering multiple professional methods allows us to effectively clean virtually any type of fabric without shrinkage or removal of resin coatings that preserve your fabrics shine. We also offer a unique dust repellant that we can apply after cleaning in order to minimize the amount of dust collected by your window treatments. Window Covering Cleaning Extended Information
No more "living in a fishbowl" when you need your window coverings cleaned! We clean all window shades and drapes as they hang
Drapery/Window Treatment Cleaning
Youve made an investment in the beautiful drapes, shades,
blinds, curtains, blinds, swags, shutters, valances, fabric panels
and lampshades that both beautify your home and protect your
privacy.
Youll want a through and careful cleaning to maintain their
elegance and prolong their lifetimes. Window coverings and drapes
can be difficult to clean with their many folds and stretched-out
fabrics.
A rough cleaning can be very damaging to fabrics and shades
-especially older ones that have grown quite delicate. And a hasty
job can leave a large portion of the fabric not cleaned at
all.
We at Tonys Best Way are not hasty or rough. We utilize a
thorough and modern method drapery cleaning method that yields the
best soil-extraction results.
First, we carefully vacuum your window coverings with a very
effective HEPA filter vacuum system to remove the dust from your
drapes.
Second, we begin one of two unique steam cleaning processes; dry
cleaning or wet cleaning. Our dual possibility cleaning system will
allow us to professionally dry-clean natural fabrics or wet-clean
synthetic fabrics. We will use the right method for your fabrics
specific needs.
We switched over to this new technology for drapery cleaning about
six years ago. We are very happy with the quality of our new
method. It is of the same quality and in addition, it offers
several features the previous one did not.
Revolutionary As They Hang Cleaning
Under the old method, it was necessary to physically dismantle
drapes, curtains, swags, etc. for cleaning purposes and then, of
course hang them again afterward. Tony well remembers doing this
personally. He especially remembers the large amount of caution
such precision work entailed. Especially when the drapes and
curtains covered entire rooms! Hanging drapery is not any easy
task. Old quality pieces often become brittle with age and resist
physical handling. Plus, under the old method there was the
necessary evil of customers having to live with temporally bare
windows for days while the remove-clean-replace process took
place.
However, with our new technology, the need for our customers to
"live in a fishbowl" during their drapery cleaning is ancient
history.
On Site Drapery Cleaning
On most drapes, by cleaning a small area we can demonstrate the great difference that will be made by our cleaning. So you can see what you can accept.
Our process is a two step
- First we vacuum your window coverings with a very effective and best hepa-filtered vacuum system to remove the dust from your drapes.
- Second we clean with a very unique steam cleaning process; wet or dry.
- We also offer an optional, unique dust repellant feature.
On site drapery cleaning includes valances, swags and fabric window coverings and is the most convenient and safe way to clean. We clean drapes right where they hang without taking them down. It is very effective without any danger of shrinking, shredding, and discoloring and with no hassle of having them re-installed properly.
We now offer quicker cleaning turnaround times
In addition to the above, our modern and versatile soil-extracting equipment really cuts down on the time the old method required. We never were hasty cleaning drapery even with the old labor-intensive method, and we are not with this method either. We take care and do a thorough job. Still, the time we save using new technology translates into a quicker cleaning turnaround time for you, our valued client.
More pluses to our drapery cleaning service:
We need not avoid certain fabric panels as another cleaning method
would require. Our superior method cleans all types of
fabrics.
Our cleaning will not remove resins from fabric. This is important
if resin was applied to your drapery to make it shiny. A cleaning
process that removes resins would also necessarily remove the sheen
you admire in your fabric.
Our method will not shrink or damage fabric. This is obviously
something our clients love to hear and its a very good reason to
choose Tonys Best Way for your drapery/window treatment cleaning
needs.
If your drapes collect dust alarmingly fast, we also offer a unique
dust repellant as an optional treatment. Let us know if you would
like this service when you set up your cleaning appointment with
us.

You can be confident that we will deliver good results, because in
most cases you can see the results for yourself -even before you
commit to a complete cleaning!
How? We will be happy to clean a small area of your window covering
for free. This will demonstrate the great difference our cleaning
makes.
Tonys Best way is the drapery cleaning company for which you
have been searching.

Drapery and Curtain Care
Consider the following cleaning and care tips for curtains,
draperies, lace and sheers.
Fabric Window Treatments
Both selection and care of window treatments are important for the
protection of your home furnishings as well as for your privacy,
comfort and personal preference. Care depends on the construction
and fabric of your window treatments.
Sunlight Considerations
Sun, as well as dust and grime, is destructive to fabrics. Light
color fabrics generally reflect sunlight and resist fading. Dark
colors absorb light and fade. Use lined window treatments, blinds,
or shades to protect fabrics from the sun.
Acrylic and polyester stands up to sunlight better than other
textile fibers and will retain color over time. Cotton, rayon and
acetate offer slightly less sun resistance. Acetate often is
blended with silk or cotton to make it more sun-resistant.
Special Tip: If your windows face west or south,
particularly if you live in a warm climate, consider professionally
installed window film to diminish the damaging effects of
ultraviolet rays.
Drape vs. Curtain
Draperies
When is a drape really a curtain? Although the terms
drapery and curtain are often used interchangeably, there is a
technical difference.
Curtains are made of lightweight fabrics and most often are unlined
and operable. Draperies extend to the floor, tend to be lined and
are sewn of heavier fabric.
Drapery Care Tips
Daily care of lined draperies or drapery panels is simple. Give
them a gentle shaking as they are drawn closed at night; this will
prevent dust and dirt from lodging in the fibers.
Every month or so, vacuum with a handheld vacuum and soft brush
attachment. Use the low-section setting if your vacuum has one.
Always check that trims, buttons and other embellishments are
secure before vacuuming.
We Offer Risk-Free Demonstrations!
